THE NEW STANDARD IN ALUMINIUM BILLET HEATING

Effmag Conductive Billet Heater offers unsurpassed efficiency compared to other heating methods as it operates with energy efficiency of over 75%.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology is based on resistive heating elements that are clamped around the billet. The heat is transferred into billet thru conductive heating.

The heater has multiple heating chambers to provide high production capacity. The heating chambers are divided radially into 200mm heating zones for accurate temperature control.

Suitable for aluminium billets of 5-24" in diameter and 300 - 1800 mm in length.

ACCURATE TEMPERATURES

Heater produces precise and controllable temperatures to ensure high quality extrusion. The radial heating uniformity is within 5°C and axial uniformity ±10°C.

Maximum taper (temperature gradient) is 100°C / meter.

Temperatures are controlled independently in each heating zones with 2-spike K-type sensors.

ROBUST DESIGN

Heater's effective construction is a proven design that ensures operational reliability and requires minimal maintenance operations. Heater is totally silent and vibration free.

SUPERIOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Effmag Induction Billet Heater offers equally high energy efficiency of over 75%.

TECHNOLOGY

When an aluminium billet is exposed to an alternating magnetic field, strong electrical eddy currents are induced inside the aluminium, causing heating of the billet.

With Effmag the alternating magnetic field is produced by rotating permanent neodymium magnets next to billet, a far more energy efficient method than traditional induction heating.

Suitable for aluminium billets of 5-8" in diameter and 300 - 1250 mm in length.

THE MOST ACCURATE TAPER

Heater produces precise temperatures for most demanding extrusion applications. The radial heating uniformity is within 2°C and axial uniformity ±5°C.

Maximum taper (temperature gradient) is 100°C / meter.

Temperatures are measured by 2-spike K-type sensors.

DESIGN

Two 120 kW electric motors rotate the flywheels that have permanent magnets embedded.
